Otanya has programs for boys and girls who have completed 1st through 11th grades. Campers participate in activities for their age level. The program is varied  and includes swimming, hiking, cookouts, canoeing, and all camp activities. Campers live in cabins with 6 to 8 others youngsters their own age and a councelor.

You can have confidence and trust in Camp Fire's summer camp programs. Activities are conducted in small groups led by a trained councelor. The program is designed to challenge the interest and ability of each child. At camp a child learns the spirit of doing good, sportsmanship and unselfishness. Camp Fire's program focuses on learning by doing, developing a positive self image, responsibility and creativity, gaining decision making a planning skills and learning to appreciate, care for and work with others.

Resident camp is a special world created for kids... kids of all ages. It provides a natural outdoor environment that can be experienced in no other place. Camping out, cooking over open fires, singing around the campfire, creating art treasures, canoe trops and the memorable council fire at the end of each session will be golden memories to keep along with new friends.

The Orange Camp Fire council has operated Camp Otanya since 1956. Camp Otanya observes the high camping standards of Camp Fire, the rules and regulations of the Texas Youth Camp Safety and Health Act and is licensed by the state of Texas.
